Harold Dean McClure, 82, of Brasília, Brazil, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 4, 2024, after a long illness. Born on August 28, 1941, in Bear Creek Springs, near Harrison, Arkansas, to Edmond Charles McClure and Goldie Mae McClure (Daniel).

Dean graduated from Harrison High School in 1959 before pursuing ministry studies at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Dean and Deloris June Lee were married in June 1963 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last year. As Baptist Bible Fellowship International missionaries, they served in Brazil for 59 years, establishing over 20 churches and a Bible Institute.

Dean is survived by his wife Deloris McClure (Lee), children Michele Hale and her husband Mark, Edmond McClure, Suzanne McClure, and Patrick McClure and his wife Ann Janel, 7 grandchildren, Joshua Hale (Rachel), Morgan, Grayson, Nathanael,, Elena, Joel, and Elijah, sister-in-law Elaine Terrey and her husband Mark, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends worldwide.

Known for his love for God, family, books, and Brazilian culture, Dean’s passion for sharing the Gospel was evident in his lifelong dedication to missionary work.

Visitation will be on May 4, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Westrip Funeral Home (Crane, MO), followed by a service in his honor at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow service at short Cemetery, Hurley, Missouri.
